Our Mission

In order to sustain the highest quality of life for the people of Northeast Washington, the Tri County Economic Development District strives to develop a stable and diverse economy; to build partnerships between businesses, government and communities; and to assist businesses to grow, invest, create and retain jobs.

Board of Directors

The U.S. Department of Commerce, TEDD was created to encourage economic development in Ferry, Pend Oreille and Stevens counties through planning, research and development.

We are governed by a Board of Directors with representatives from municipal and county governments, public utility districts, and tribal entities within the region. In addition, the Board of Directors includes representatives from a number of other organizations with an economic development interest as well as representatives from the business community.

The TEDD Board also acts as the ‘Policy Board’ for the Northeast Washington Regional Transportation Planning Organization (NEW RTPO).

Compact & Bylaws

The TEDD Compact and Bylaws are organizational documents that explain the governance and operation of our organization as well as our purpose and mission.

The most current versions of both were drafted and approved by our Board of Directors in 2011.
