Business Support & Lending Specialist
The Tri County Economic Development District (TEDD) is seeking a full-time Business Support & Lending Specialist to administer and grow our regional small business loan program, serving a 13-county area across Northeast Washington. This position plays a vital role in expanding access to capital, strengthening entrepreneurship, and supporting business development throughout the region.
As a key member of TEDD’s team, the Specialist will originate, service, and manage business loans; analyze financial statements and business plans; prepare and present loan requests to TEDD’s Loan Committee; ensure compliance with USDA, EDA, and state lending requirements; and provide technical assistance to both prospective and current borrowers. The position also supports internal reporting, budget preparation, and partner engagement.
Desired qualifications include experience in loan portfolio management, credit analysis, and financial management; strong organizational and communication skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office; and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations. A BA in business, finance, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience may be substituted. This is a permanent, benefits-earning, full-time position.
