The Stronger Economies Together (SET) Program

In 2012,Tri County Economic Development District (TEDD) and tri-county region launched the Stronger Economies Together (SET) Program, a comprehensive economic development training. With support from USDA Rural Development, WSU Extension, and our local Ferry, Pend Oreille, and Steven County Extension office, we brought together key participants from around the region. We are one of only two regions that were selected to participate in this new initiative for the Northwest.

One of the main purposes of the SET Program was to collaborate with participants to garner valuable information about local and regional economic development goals and objectives and, in turn, to use that information in the development of a new five-year, Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS). TEDD staff and SET participants have worked extensively with the results from the SET sessions and there is a draft of the new 2013-2017 CEDS up for Board approval .
