The Northeast Washington Tourism Workspace

Creating a vision for Community Tourism

Join the conversation at four workshops spread around the region

The program will kick off with a networking event on March 29 in Stevens County, where everyone who wants to be involved can come together, meet, mingle, and build some synergy. The first full-day workshop is the very next day. Two additional workshops and one networking social will be in April, with a final workshop and networking event in May.

Community Driven and Inspired Destination Development

Join State of Washington Tourism for a series of workshops designed to envision and create a thriving and sustainable tourism and outdoor recreation economy in Northeast Washington. Community tourism strategies can stimulate the local economy, protect and enhance local resources, and foster community pride.

Collaboration + Partnership =
Great Things

We’re bringing together local leaders and people who work in tourism and outdoor recreation, to collaborate and align their efforts in partnership. Our goals include creating a vision of success, learning about national and global trends, identifying strategies to improve the visitor experience, and enriching local and regional economies.

What do YOU want tourism to look like in 10 years?

We’ll begin with a high-level conversation about the region’s future. Then the individual workshops will focus on improving outdoor recreation and destination experiences, and developing regional branding and effective communication for our target markets.

Tourism is Economic Development

These workshops are for community members, public officials, conservation and outdoor recreation groups, tourism-related business owners, and anyone with an interest in strengthening the local economy through tourism and outdoor recreation.
